The exceptional period that we have experienced during the COVID19 crisis has been an opportunity to perform extensive remote tests over CROME equipment. Most of second production batch devices have been connected to the network for remote access. Both operational equipment and test benches have been configured to support remote control capabilities over CERN IT infrastructure. The essential point was to guarantee the best availability of equipment without degradation of any CERN IT security rules.  The experience was very beneficial and led to many new development and improvement.
